Emily Poghossian serves as Program Assistant for The Promise Armenian Institute at UCLA, where she completed her undergraduate studies. During her time in university, she was a peer grader for undergraduate courses in her major's department as well as a lead developmental and copy editor for an undergraduate research journal in the humanities, arts, and social sciences. Emily also held the position of Student Coordinator for an anthropology colloquium presenting postdoctoral and faculty-level research regarding the dynamics of culture, power, inequality, and social change in the contemporary world. Additionally, she has interned for the Lemkin Institute for Genocide Prevention (LIPG), analyzing and investigating the development of ongoing humanitarian crises as well as the factors that contribute to the forced displacement of persecuted peoples. Outside of UCLA, Emily is a legal assistant specializing in immigration law.
